Asthma Related to Dermographism

After suffering for approximately 8 months with dermographism, I developed asthma. I have to take Cetirizine and Montelucast daily to control the itching and dermographism and steroid inhaler for the asthma. I would just like to know if the two are related.

To nail down a cause or links to other health issues is very difficult to do, especially with this type of condition. You can visit the dermatographism causes page for more information. It appears that your body is reacting or has reacted to some sort of allergen which could be causing both the dermatographism and the asthma. I don't think one caused the other, but perhaps the reason why both are occurring is related.
