Flea Bites and Raised Skin

I woke up one morning with flea bites on my ankles. I moved the covers and a found flea in my bed! I captured it and flushed it down the toilet. That whole day I was itching, not only the flea bites, but anywhere that pressure was applied. Huge red areas with raised skin was the result and it has been an ongoing problem ever since. It is now a year in a half later with no sign of relief.
