Olive Oil Facial Cleanser

An olive oil facial cleanser utilizes some of the benefits that this important oil can provide for healthy skin care. Try some of the all-natural olive oil recipes below and see how easy it can be to take care of your skin naturally. As with any product, we recommend testing a small area of the skin prior to use to ensure there is no adverse skin reaction.

Olive Oil Facial Cleanser Cream

Gather up the following ingredients:

  • 3 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1/2 cup lard
  • several drops peppermint extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon of tincture of benzoin

Mix the entire ingredient very well in a clean glass bottle. The cleanser cream is now ready for use. It is that simple. Apply the cream to the facial area with your fingers. After a few minutes, remove it with clean tissues. Store the unused cream in a cool place until next use.

Olive Oil Cream

To make this skin cream you will need the following:

  • 1/2 teaspoon of borax
  • 2 teaspoons of boiling water
  • 4 tablespoons of petroleum jelly
  • 4 tablespoons of olive oil

Dissolve the borax in boiling water. Next, melt petroleum jelly and olive oil together over low

heat until a liquid is formed. Add borax to the mixture and stir to mix thoroughly. Finally, remove from heat and beat to emulsify. The cream should be stored in a refrigerator.

Coconut and Olive Oil Cleanser

This skin cleanser will require the following ingredients:

  • 3 tablespoons of coconut oil
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon of glycerin
  • 2 teaspoons of water

The ingredients should be mixed together over low heat under everything is in liquid form. Next, remove from the heat and beat to emulsify it as the mixture cools down. Store in a glass jar and in the refrigerator. Use this olive oil facial cleanser as you would any other cleanser in your daily skin care routine.

Olive Oil Shaving Cream

Although not a olive oil facial cleanser, you can also make a natural shaving cream with olive oil. To make this product you will need the following ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup stearic acid
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 1 teaspoon of borax
  • 2 tablespoons of grated soap

The stearic acid and oil should be heated in double boiler until a clear liquid has formed. Mix the hot water, borax, and soap together and stir until the borax and soap are completely dissolved. Pour the soap solution into a blender and blend well for about one minute. Slowly pour the melted stearic acid mixture into the soap solution. Blend on high until a smooth cream forms. Pour into a clean container and allow to cool completely. To use this olive oil shaving cream, soften the area to be shaved with warm water and then apply the shaving cream and shave as you normally would do.

Artichoke and Olive Oil Facial

The ingredients for this facial are provided below:

  • 1 fresh artichoke heart well-cooked or canned hearts in water
  • 2 teaspoons of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of vinegar or fresh lemon juice

Mash the artichoke heart in a bowl and mix in the olive oil and vinegar. Stir the mixture well until a smooth paste has formed. Massage the paste on face and neck areas and let it rest on the skin for 10 or possibly 15 minutes at the most. Rinse off the artichoke and olive oil facial with warm water and pat dry the face gently with a clean towel.
