Eczema and Elbow Soreness

by Anonymous

My 19 year old daughter has had an eczema skin rash problem for about nine years now. Since she has been in college it appears that her flare ups are happening more often. Her eczema flare ups seem to be the worst on the inside of the elbow area. After the flare ups have gone away she has complained a couple of times that that area feels sore inside of the elbow area. Has anyone else experienced this kind of effect?

Child Eczema Skin Problem Reappears

by Anonymous

I had eczema as a child until I reached the age of ten when my eczema subsided and it did not reappear until I was 23 years old. As a child, I only had it on the backs of my knees and creases of my arms. My mom only allowed me to bathe in Basis Soap; it was clear back then, now I think it's white. Every now and then I would use hydrocortisone but only if the eczema skin rash problem was really bad.

In my twenties when it reappeared, it was on my fingers, which is controlled by using creams for one or two days and not wearing my jewellery. After it goes, I wear my rings again. I am not sure what is going on there because my rings are 10k gold and I wore them in high school with no reaction. As of now, I have not had any flare ups in about 3 months.

Eczema Skin Problem on Face

I have had eczema since I was very little. I can't even remember when it first occurred. I am now 13 years old and I hate it so much! Currently, I have an eczema rash flare up and it makes me feel sick! This eczema skin problem affects my confidence and people often ask me about it at school. I have eczema on my face at the moment but it has also been on other parts of my body in the past such as my arms and legs. I just want this skin problem to go away.

I have also had Eczema all my life, Lucy. I am now 20 years old and I have good days and bad days. At this moment in time I am going through a bad patch were my face (especially my forehead), neck and shoulder areas are very dry. I treat as best I can and just have to get on with it.

I have found that dairy products seem to affect many people's conditions, although I can't resist drinking milk. Try giving up dairy, it might help.

Anyway, just try different things. Your body changes every seven years. You may grow out of it, you may not. If you don't, it is not a real bad thing. There are a lot worse things out there so just keep smiling.

Eczema Skin Rash Problem on Arms and Legs

I've had eczema my whole life and it has really been a pain to deal with. I am currently 14 years old and I feel horrible with this eczema skin condition. I don't have much confidence at all when it comes to school. When people ask me, "What's that stuff on your leg?" it's definitely a struggle to go through.

I do admit that I didn't try very hard to get rid of the eczema skin problem as a kid. I realize that after all these years it has gotten worse and I wish that I could have eliminated the eczema skin rash problem sooner. It is extremely painful at some times and I just wish my skin would be clear and pain free! The eczema skin condition is all over my legs and arms, including my wrists, ankles, and the back of my knees. It gets really bad in the winter because of the dry skin, but it tends to get clearer during the summer, which is a relief. I'm just glad my family and friends are supportive and that they don't see me as having an ugly skin condition. I'm lucky to have them!
