Atarax and Aveeno Anti Itch Lotion for Dermographism

by Melanie

Hi my name is Melanie. I am 30 years old and I was just diagnosed with having dermographism. I have had it for about 2 weeks and it has been an interesting time to say the least. I was given prednisone at first that made me go from sleeping all day to being anxious and crying. I am not on the prednisone anymore. I use Aveeno anti-itch lotion and it works pretty good. I find it soothes the burn as well as the itch. For the bad itch times, I have a prescribed antihistamine called Atarax. It will last for quite a few hours relieving the itch. I am googling everyday to find natural antihistamines so it is better for my health. It was nice to hear everyone's stories and to know that I am not alone.

Day after Allergist Appointment
by: Melanie

So I officially have "symptomatic Dermographism".
I am now on one Reactine pill a day for as long as I have this or as long as it still works(still looking for a natural way). I was sent for more blood tests and I am waiting for the results on Monday, something about lymphoma and checking my liver. He said its was nothing to worry about, easier said than done but I feel a lot better not taking the Atarax and believe if I wouldn't have done the MMS cleanse one Reactine pill would not have cut the itch. The itch has been slowly subsiding day by day and I have 3 days left of the cleanse then I start the milk thistle to help repair the liver!

New treatment for my dermographism
by: Melanie

I have had Dermographism for 2 weeks now and I am willing to try anything that might help so I went and had Biofeedback done today with an EPFX machine. They found I have a biological germ (man made) so I am doing a MMS cleanse and a bowel cleanse to get rid of it. With it gone I hope to see my dermographism gone. I will post back my progress!
